Nasimeh Eslam-Zehi, a Sunni citizen, was arrested in September 2023 while pregnant, along with her husband and only daughter, Ayesha, by security forces in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. After being transferred to Tehran and held in Ward 209 of the Ministry of Intelligence at Evin Prison, she was moved to the general ward on February 23, 2024, following interrogation and the formal filing of charges. Despite more than six months having passed since his arrest, her husband remained detained in the multi-person rooms of Ward 209.
As part of the case, in October 2025, she was sentenced to death by Branch 10 of the Tehran Criminal Court, along with Arsalan Sheikhi and Amanj Karvanchi, over the alleged 2023 bombing of a passenger bus that resulted in the “intentional murder” of a child, Delvin. The sentences against Arsalan (Abdolrahman) Sheikhi and Amanj Karvanchi were carried out in February 2026.
According to a ruling by Judge Abolqasem Salavati, reported on September 11, 2026, Nasimeh Eslam-Zehi was sentenced to 25 years in prison for “assisting in the crime of rebellion with the intent to undermine national security.”
The mother of two, whose second child was born in prison, has denied all charges since her arrest, stating that she was not a member of or cooperating with any group. She was reportedly arrested solely because she was Arsalan Sheikhi’s wife. Security forces had gone to their home in September 2023 to arrest her husband and detained Nasimeh simply because she was present at the house.
نسیمه اسلام زهی، شهرند اهل سنت، در شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۲، در حالی که باردار بود به همراه همسر و تنها دخترش عایشه، توسط ماموران امنیتی، در استان سیستان و بلوچستان، بازداشت و پس از انتقال به تهران و بند ۲۰۹ وزارت اطلاعات واقع در زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، در تاریخ ۴ اسفند ماه ۱۴۰۲، به بند عمومی زندان اوین، منتقل شد اما همسر وی علیرغم گذشت بیش از ۶ ماه از تاریخ دستگیری در اتاق های چند نفری بند ۲۰۹ محبوس شده است.
در بخشی از پرونده خود، در مهر ماه ۱۴۰۴، توسط قاضی شعبه ۱۰ دادگاه کیفری۱ تهران، با اتهام «بمب گذاری در یک دستگاه اتوبوس مسافربری در سال ۱۴۰۲، یک دستگاه اتوبوس مسافربری که منجر به «قتل عمد» دلوین ـ کودک شده بود» به همراه ارسلان شیخی و آمانج کاروانچی، به اعذام محکوم شده بود و احکام ارسلان(عبدالرحمان) شیخی و آمانج کاروانچی در بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۴ اجرا شد.
براساس حکم صادره توسط قاضی ابوالقاسم صلواتی؛ که خبر آن در تاریخ ۲۰شهریورماه ۱۴۰۵، انتشار یافته نسیمه اسلام زهی، به اتهام «معاونت در جرم بغی به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل ۲۵ سال حبس محکوم شده است.
این مادر دو فرزند که دومین فرزندش در زندان به دنیا آمده از زمان بازداشت، تمامی اتهامات را رد کرده و تأکید داشته که عضو هیچ گروهی نبوده و با هیچ گروهی همکاری نکرده است. خانم اسلام زهی تنها به دلیل همسربودن با ارسلان شیخی بازداشت شده است. مأموران امنیتی در شهریورماه ۱۴۰۲ برای بازداشت همسرش به منزل آنان مراجعه کردند و نسیمه اسلام زهی را نیز صرفاً به دلیل حضور در خانه بازداشت کردند.
