Daniyal Niyazi

In the early hours of 22 January 2026, Danial Niazi was detained at his home in a forceful manner by security forces without a judicial warrant. He was subsequently taken to an undisclosed location. During the first 24 hours, he was subjected to severe physical torture, resulting in forced confessions and the issuance of serious charges. During this time, he was denied access to legal representation and contact with his family.

According to a document from his court ruling, the charges against him were issued on 23 January 2026. Due to the absence of legal access during interrogation and forced confessions under torture, the security agencies' case against him was upheld, and the court confirmed the issuance of these charges, dismissing the objections raised by the individual.

Following the completion of interrogation and case-building by security agencies, Danial Niazi was transferred to Shirvan Prison. Currently, he remains without access to legal representation, although he is allowed contact with his family, who can visit him.

Danial Niazi is a worker from the Kurdish Kormanj community in Shirvan County, North Khorasan Province.
