Ardeshir Zarei, a Kurdish Yarsan resident from the village of Darvit, was fatally shot in the back during protests in the city of Saveh on 5 January 2026. He was a worker and the father of three young children. It has been reported that Ardeshir Zarei suffered from a heart condition and had visited a specialist doctor to obtain medication on the day of the incident. Security forces targeted him while he was standing by the roadside near a pharmacy.
According to informed sources, Ardeshir Zarei's family was required to pay a sum of money to receive his body and committed to burying him in his birthplace without declaring that he was killed during the protests. The funeral for Ardeshir Zarei is planned, but due to his identification as a protest casualty, the body has not yet been released to the family by the coroner's office.
اردشیر زارعی، شهروند کرد یارسان اهل روستای درویت، در تاریخ 15 دی 1404 در اعتراضات شهر ساوه با شلیک گلوله از پشت سر کشته شده است. او کارگر و پدر سه کودک خردسال بود. گزارش شده است که اردشیر زارعی از بیماری قلبی رنج می برد و در روز حادثه پس از مراجعه به پزشک متخصص برای تهیه دارو به داروخانه مراجعه کرده بود. نیروهای امنیتی او را در حالی که در کنار خیابان و در نزدیکی داروخانه ایستاده بود، هدف شلیک گلوله قرار دادند.
به گفته منابع آگاه، خانواده اردشیر زارعی برای تحویل پیکر او ناچار به پرداخت مبلغی شده و متعهد شده اند او را بدون اعلام اینکه در اعتراضات کشته شده، در روستای محل تولدش به خاک بسپارند. مراسم خاکسپاری اردشیر زارعی قرار است برگزار شود، اما به دلیل معرفی او به عنوان کشته شده در جریان اعتراضات، هنوز پیکر از پزشکی قانونی به خانواده تحویل داده نشده است.
