Mohammad Hossein Feyz

Mohammad Hossein Feyz was one of the individuals who lost their lives during the protests against the 2009 election results. He was killed on 20 June 2009 near the Basij base of Meqdad due to a gunshot wound to the back of his head.

Feyz was born into a religious and traditional family in Sorkheh and was raised in Mashhad. His father was a strong supporter of the government and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Feyz held a diploma in accounting, completed his military service with the Basij student organisation, and worked at a computer company in Tehran. He was married and had a two-year-old child at the time of his death.

His family, after a period of no information, learned of his injury through a phone call from his own mobile phone. Eventually, on 22 June 2009, his body was identified at the Kahrizak forensic facility. He was buried in section 257 of Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery in Tehran.

Despite his religious background and his family's connections to government institutions, the exact details of his death and the identity of the shooter were never clearly established. State media attempted to portray him as a victim of the "sedition," while some reports indicated the compelled silence of his acquaintances regarding the "many untold stories" of this case.
