Amir Arshad Tajmir, passed away during protests on Ashura Day in Tehran's Vali Asr Square. Witnesses reported that he intervened to assist two female protesters who were being severely beaten by officers. In an attempt to free them, he engaged with the officers.
Following the officers' advance, a police vehicle reportedly struck him from behind at high speed, causing him to be thrown. Subsequently, another police vehicle stationed at the scene reportedly ran over him three times.
Videos capturing the moment he was struck by the police vehicles were widely circulated on social media, drawing significant attention.
His body was transferred to a hospital and, after his passing, was moved to the Kahrizak forensic facility. He was laid to rest in Section 302 of Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery in Tehran.

طبق روایت شاهدان، او برای نجات دو دختر معترض که مورد ضرب وشتم شدید ماموران قرار گرفته بودند، جلو رفت و با ماموران درگیر شد تا آن ها را آزاد کند.
پس از هجوم ماموران، ابتدا یک خودروی نیروی انتظامی از پشت با سرعت به او زد و او را پرتاب کرد. سپس خودروی دیگری متعلق به نیروی انتظامی که در آنجا مستقر بود، سه بار از روی بدن وی رد شد.
ویدئوهای تکان دهنده ای از لحظه زیر گرفتن او توسط خودروهای پلیس در فضای مجازی منتشر شد که بازتاب گسترده ای داشت.
پیکر وی پس از انتقال به بیمارستان و فوت، به پزشکی قانونی کهریزک منتقل شد. او در قطعه ۳۰۲ بهشت زهرای تهران به خاک سپرده شد.
