بر اساس گزارش ها، در تاریخ 19 تیر ماه 1402، ماموستا عمر ابراهیمی، فعال مذهبی اهل سنت و ساکن روستای گرگول سفلی در شهرستان پیرانشهر استان آذربایجان غربی، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت شد. گفته شده است که علت بازداشت وی به دلیل اجازه برگزاری مراسم ختم لقمان آجی، فعال سیاسی و عضو حزب دموکرات کردستان، در مسجد روستای گرگول سفلی بوده است. اطلاعاتی درباره مکان نگهداری، مصادیق حقوقی اتهامات و نام ارگان بازداشت کننده ماموستا عمر ابراهیمی در دسترس نیست.
