In continuation of what has been described as a wave of retaliatory executions, the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran has secretly carried out the execution sentence of a detainee from the Dey 1404 protests-Saleh Mohammadi, in Qom Central Prison.
Saleh Mohammadi, an 18-year-old protester and wrestler, has been sentenced to death for the alleged murder of a police officer during protests in Qom on January 8. The court dismissed Saleh Mohammadi's claims that his confession was obtained under torture and ruled that his execution should be carried out in public at the location of the alleged crime.
