In the case of Sab al-Nabi, the initial five-year prison sentence was overturned by the Supreme Court after the prosecutor's objection, and a parallel court issued a death sentence. The Supreme Court once again accepted the lawyers' objection and overturned this sentence to review the issue of repentance. According to Hazegh, Branch Six of the Criminal Court One confirmed Maqsoudlou's repentance in August 2025, but the process of reviewing his pardon request has not yet been completed.

In December 2023, an individual voluntarily returned from Turkey and was handed over to Iran at the Bazargan border, where they were immediately detained. The individual is currently held in the Greater Tehran Prison.

The main charge against this individual is blasphemy, and a death sentence was issued by Branch Six of the Criminal Court of Tehran Province in the winter of 2025. This sentence was issued following the overturning of an initial five-year prison sentence for insulting religious sanctities and a subsequent retrial.

The Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence in May 2025, and the case was prepared for execution. Additionally, the individual has been sentenced to ten years in prison for inciting corruption and prostitution, and separate sentences have been issued for promoting gambling and engaging in activities against religious law.

اتهام اصلی این فرد سب النبی بوده و حکم اعدام برای او در شعبه ششم دادگاه کیفری یک استان تهران در زمستان ۱۴۰۳ صادر شد. این حکم پس از نقض حکم اولیه ۵ سال حبس به اتهام توهین به مقدسات و رسیدگی مجدد صادر گردید.

دیوان عالی کشور حکم اعدام را در اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۴ تأیید کرد و پرونده برای اجرا آماده شد. همچنین، این فرد به ۱۰ سال حبس به اتهام تشویق به فساد و فحشا محکوم شده است و احکام جداگانه ای نیز برای دعوت به قمار و فعالیت های تبلیغی مخالف شرع دریافت کرده است.
