History:
On Monday, September 15, 2026, government forces raided the home of Ashkan Hosseini Madani, arrested him, and transferred him to Evin Prison to serve his sentence.
He had previously been sentenced by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, to a total of 4 years and 7 months of imprisonment on charges such as "assembly and collusion with the intent to disrupt national security" and "propaganda activities against the regime."
Ashkan Madani, one of the citizens arrested during the nationwide protests of 2022, was detained by security forces and transferred to Evin Prison to serve his sentence.
