نگین قدیمی ۲۸ ساله دانشجوی رشته بیوتکنولوژی و اهل شهسوار در جریان اعتراضات مردمی این شهر جان خود را از دست داد. او دختری پرنشاط علاقه مند به هنر و شنا و از چهره های جوان و شناخته شده در میان دوستان و هم دانشگاهیانش بود.
بر اساس گزارش های رسیده نگین قدیمی با وجود مخالفت خانواده در تظاهرات مردمی حضور یافت. حضوری که نزدیکانش آن را برخاسته از باور عمیق او به آزادی و حق اعتراض مسالمت آمیز توصیف کرده اند.
در جریان این اعتراضات و در شب ۱۹ دی ماه وی بر اثر اصابت گلوله از ناحیه پهلو به شدت مجروح شد و ساعاتی بعد جان باخت. شاهدان گفته اند که نگین قدیمی در واپسین لحظات در آغوش پدرش بوده است.

Negin Ghadimi, a 28-year-old biotechnology student from Shahsavar, lost her life during the city's public protests. She was a lively young woman with a passion for art and swimming, and was well-known among her friends and university peers.
Reports indicate that Negin Ghadimi participated in the public demonstrations despite her family's opposition. Those close to her described her presence as stemming from her deep belief in freedom and the right to peaceful protest.
During these protests, on the night of January 9, she was severely injured by a gunshot wound to her side and passed away a few hours later. Witnesses have reported that in her final moments, Negin Ghadimi was in her father's arms.
