According to a report published by Araz News citing local sources, the dead protester whose body was being transported by van was widely republished on social networks has been identified as "Mehran Shekhari" from Miandawab.
According to this report, Mehran Shekhari was shot dead by security forces on November 3, 2022 in Karaj and during the gatherings held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the killing of Hadith Najafi and Nima Rezadoost.
Araz News also wrote that Mehran Shekhari's grandfather was one of the victims of the IranIraq war, and the security agencies have requested 200 million tomans to hand over his body to his family.
According to the published information, it is also said that the security forces have threatened the family of Mr. Shekari that the body of their son will be handed over to them after paying this amount only on the condition that he refrains from holding any mourning ceremony and bury him without ceremony.

بنا بر این گزارش مهران شکاری روز ۱۲ آبان۱۴۰۱ در کرج و در تجمعاتی که به مناسبت چهلمین روز کشته شدن حدیث نجفی و نیما رضادوست برگزار شده بود، با شلیک نیروهای امنیتی جان باخته است.
آراز نیوز همچنین نوشته است که پدربزرگ مهران شکاری از کشته شدگان جنگ ایران و عراق بوده و نهادهای امنیتی برای تحویل پیکر او به خانواده اش ۲۰۰ میلیون تومان پول درخواست کرده اند.
بر اساس اطلاعات منتشر شده همچنین گفته شده که نیروهای امنیتی خانواده آقای شکاری را تهدید کرده اند که پیکر فرزندشان پس از پرداخت این مبلغ تنها به شرطی به آن ها تحویل داده می شود که از برگزاری هرگونه مراسم سوگواری خودداری کرده و او را بدون تشریفات به خاک بسپارند.
