In recent weeks, Mohsen Houshmand, born in 1993 and residing in Rasht, the capital of Gilan Province, was sentenced to one year in prison by the judge of the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Rasht.
A knowledgeable source reported that the charge against Mohsen Houshmand was engaging in propaganda activities against the regime. After the verdict was issued and he accepted the ruling, part of the total prison sentence was reduced.
It is noteworthy that Mohsen Houshmand was arrested by security forces in Rasht on October 25, 2023. After being transferred to a detention center and undergoing interrogation, he was formally charged on November 11, 2023, and subsequently released on bail of 100 million tomans.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی هفته های گذشته، محسن هوشمند، متولد: ۱۳۷۲، ساکن شهر رشت مرکز استان گیلان، توسط قاضی شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب شهر رشت، به تحمل ۱ سال حبس محکوم شد.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”اتهام منتسب شده به محس هوشمند فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام عنوان و پس از ابلاغ حکم و اعلام تشیلم به رای بخشی از مجموع حبس لازم به اجرای وی کاسته شد.”
لازم به اشاره است، محسن هوشمند، در تاریخ ۳ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهر رشت، بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و سپس تفهیم اتهام در تاریخ ۲۰ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲، با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱۰۰ میلیون تومان، آزاد شد.
