Ashkan Soleimani, a protester from Rasht, was arrested for the second time by agents of the Gilan Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on 11 April 2023. Reports indicate that since his arrest, his family has not had any contact or visits with him, and the reason for his arrest and charges remain unclear.
It has also been reported that following Ashkan's re-arrest, agents entered his parental home, confronted his brother, and confiscated Ashkan's personal belongings. It is said that the agents took some cash from the house as well.
Previously, Ashkan Soleimani was arrested in Rasht by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence on 3 November 2022. The Ministry accused him of being involved in setting fire to an ambulance on 21 September in Rasht, leading to charges of enmity against God.
Reports suggest that security agents used this ambulance to attack and arrest protesters. The only available image of Ashkan shows him assisting a young girl to escape from the agents and the ambulance, indicating he had no role in the ambulance fire.
Ashkan was held in solitary confinement in Lakan Prison in Rasht for nearly 80 days and was subjected to pressure. It is reported that agents conducted mock executions to extract forced confessions from him.
Due to a lack of evidence and proof of Ashkan's involvement in the ambulance fire, he was acquitted of the charge of enmity against God and was released on bail in February 2023.
اشکان سلیمانی، معترض اهل رشت، در 22 فروردین 1402 برای دومین بار توسط ماموران سازمان اطلاعات سپاه گیلان بازداشت شده است. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که از زمان بازداشت وی، خانواده هیچ تماس یا ملاقاتی با او نداشته اند و دلیل بازداشت و اتهام او مشخص نیست.
همچنین گزارش شده است که ماموران پس از بازداشت مجدد اشکان به منزل پدری او نیز وارد شده و پس از برخورد با برادرش، اقدام به توقیف وسایل و لوازم شخصی اشکان کرده اند. گفته می شود که ماموران اطلاعات سپاه گیلان مقداری پول نقد را نیز از خانه با خود برده اند.
اشکان سلیمانی در 12 آبان 1401 در رشت توسط ماموران وزارت اطلاعات بازداشت شده بود. وزارت اطلاعات او را متهم کرده بود که در آتش زدن یک دستگاه آمبولانس در 30 شهریور در رشت نقش داشته و به همین دلیل اتهام محاربه به او نسبت داده شده بود.
گزارش ها نشان می دهند که ماموران امنیتی از این آمبولانس برای حمله به معترضان و بازداشت آنها استفاده می کرده اند و تنها تصویر موجود از اشکان نشان می دهد که او به یک دختر جوان برای فرار از دست ماموران و آمبولانس کمک کرده و نقشی در آتش سوزی آمبولانس نداشته است.
اشکان نزدیک به 80 روز در سلول انفرادی در زندان لاکان رشت محبوس بوده و تحت فشار قرار گرفته است. گفته می شود که ماموران برای اخذ اعترافات اجباری از او، اقدام به اعدام مصنوعی کرده اند.
با توجه به فقدان مدارک و شواهد مبنی بر مشارکت اشکان در آتش زدن آمبولانس، او از اتهام محاربه تبرئه و در بهمن ماه 1401 به قید وثیقه آزاد شده است.
