Alireza Gholami, a 52-year-old mechanic and father of two daughters aged 8 and 15, was arrested during the events of January 8 in Shahroud and never returned home. According to available information, he was arrested alive.
Reports indicate that he was severely tortured during his detention, with both his arms and legs broken. After some time, his family was informed of his death. Simultaneously, he was accused of "setting a place on fire."
To receive his body, the family was charged 500 million tomans, and his assets were confiscated. The family is under such pressure and threats that they cannot speak publicly about what happened.
