مجید شیخی، اهل و ساکن چهارده متری نسیم شهر (اکبرآباد) در استان تهران بود. دانشجوى ترم آخر حقوق در دانشگاه آزاد اسلامشهر بودو همزمان در يكى از مدارس اسلامشهر تدريس مى کرد. در اعتراضات سراسری به گرون شدن ناگهانی قیمت بنزین در هفته آخر آبان ماه ۱۳۹۸ شرکت کرد و در روز ۲۶ آبان جلوی کلانتری نسیم شهر با دو گلوله جنگی که ماموران حکومتی به او شلیک کردند سینه اش را شکافت. او را که هنوز زنده بود به بیمارستان رضا اسلامشهر بردند ولی بیمارستان دستور داشت که افراد زخمی را نپزیرد. در راه انتقال به بیمارستان دیگر او جانش را از دست داد. جنازه او به خانواده اش داده نشد تا قبول کنند که او را به نام بسیجی به خاک بسپارند. پیکر او در روز دوشنبه ۴ آذر ماه ۱۳۹۸ در معراج الشهدای تهران به عنوان شهید حکومتی مخفیانه، سریع و بدون سر و صدا به خاک سپرده شد.

On 17 November 2019, during protests over the increase in fuel prices, he was struck by live ammunition fired by government security forces in front of the Nasim Shahr Police Station. He died on the way to the hospital.
Majid Sheykhi, resident of the 14 Metri Nasim Shahr (Akbarabad) in Tehran Province, who was a final-year law student at the Islamic Azad University of Eslamshahr and also taught at a school in Eslamshahr, participated in nationwide protests against the sudden increase in petrol prices in the last week of November 2019. On 17 November 2019, he was shot in the chest with two live bullets by government forces in front of the Nasim Shahr police station. Although he was still alive, he was taken to Reza Hospital in Eslamshahr, which had orders not to admit injured individuals. He passed away while being transferred to another hospital. His body was not released to his family until they agreed to bury him as a Basij member. His body was secretly and quietly buried as a government martyr at the Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery in Tehran on Monday, 25 November 2019.
