مهدی محرم زاده، اهل رشت و ساکن تهران، در جریان اعتراضات سراسری 1401 در روز 2 مهر 1401 هدف گلوله قرار گرفت و جان باخت. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که خانواده او تحت فشار قرار گرفتند تا خبر درگذشت او را رسانه ای نکنند و اجازه نیافتند که پیکر او را در رشت به خاک بسپارند. نهایتاً، پیکر او در یکی از روستاهای شهرستان کوثر خلخال در اردبیل به نام روستای کمق به خاک سپرده شد و مراسم چهلم او در روز 12 آبان 1401 همان جا برگزار شد.

Mehdi Moharramzadeh, originally from Rasht and residing in Tehran, was fatally shot during the nationwide protests on 24 September 2022. Reports indicate that his family was pressured not to publicise his death and were not permitted to bury his body in Rasht. Ultimately, his body was interred in the village of Kamagh in the Kowsar district of Khalkhal, Ardabil. His fortieth-day memorial ceremony was held there on 3 November 2022.
