According to the Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers' Trade Associations, Hossein Salami, a teachers' union activist residing in Mazandaran province, has recently been sentenced to imprisonment by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This teacher has been sentenced by the judicial authority to a total of one year of imprisonment on charges of "propaganda against the regime" and "disturbing public opinion."
