According to Human Rights in Iran, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Behnam Ohadi, born in 1972, a psychiatrist residing in Tehran, has been denied the right to access legal counsel, legal consultation, and even the right to contact or meet with his family, despite more than four weeks having passed since his arrest and transfer to one of the security wards.
A knowledgeable individual told the Human Rights in Iran reporter: "What we have understood about Mr. Ohadi is that after his arrest, he was placed under the control of a special authority. During this time, his family has made numerous efforts, including visiting the prosecutor's office, contacting the Ministry of Intelligence's news headquarters at number 113, and even the Tehran IRGC Intelligence news headquarters. However, since his arrest, he has only had one brief contact with his family and was unaware of his detention location."
It is worth mentioning that Behnam Ohadi was arrested by security officers on February 4, 2025, and some of his belongings, including his mobile phone, were confiscated.
This psychiatrist was previously arrested by Ministry of Intelligence officers in Mahabad on December 4, 2022, and was released on bail after undergoing interrogation and being charged.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز سه شنبه ۱۴ اسفند ماه ۱۴۰۳، بهنام اوحدی، متولد: ۱۳۵۱، روانپزشک، ساکن تهران، علیرغم گذشت بیش از ۴ هفته از تاریخ دستگیری و انتقال به یکی از بندهای امنیتی، از حق دسترسی به وکیل مشاوره حقوقی و حتی از حق تماس یا ملاقات با خانواده خود محروم شده است.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”آنچه که ما در مورد آقای اوحید متوجه شدیم این هست که وی پس از دستگیری در اختیار ضابط خاص قرار گرفته و طی این مدت خانواده وی پیگیری های بسیاری را از جمله با مراجعه به دادسرا، تماس با شماره ۱۱۳ ستاد خبری وزارت اطلاعات و حتی ستاد خبری اطلاعات سپاه تهران، داشته اند اما از لحظه بازداشت وی فقط ۱ تماس کوتاه با خانواده داشته و حتیاز مکان نگهداری خود هم اطلاعی نداشت.”
لازم به ذکر است، بهنام اوحدی، در تاریخ ۱۵ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۳، در مطلب خود، توسط ماموران امنیتی، دستگیر و برخی لوازم از قبیل گوشی تلفن همراه وی هم توقیف شده است.
این روانپزشک، پیشتر هم در تاریخ ۱۳ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط ماموران وزارت اطلاعات، در شهرستان مهاباد، دستگیر و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام با قید وثیقه آزاد شده بود.
