Anoosheh Ashoori, 67, a retired civil engineer, had been detained in Evin prison for almost five years.
Mr Ashoori was arrested in August 2017 while visiting his elderly mother in Tehran and was detained in Evin prison.
Despite living in the UK for 20 years, he was convicted of spying for Israel's Mossad intelligence agency and sentenced to prison for ten years.
He and fellow BritishIranian national Nazanin ZaghariRatcliffe were on Wednesday, 16 March 2022, following months of intensive diplomatic negotiations between London and Tehran and repaying a debt owed by the UK to Iran.
In a video message posted on Twitter, Mr Ashorri's daughter, Elika Ashoori, said: "1,672 days ago, our family's foundations were rocked when our father and husband was unjustly detained and taken away from us.
Now, we can look forward to rebuilding those same foundations with our cornerstone back in place."

آقای آشوری شهریور ۱۳۹۶ در سفر به ایران بازداشت شد و حکم او بعد از دو سال حبس در زندان اوین اعلام شد.
سخنگوی قوه قضاییه ایران روز پنج شهریور ۱۳۹۸ گفت انوشه آشوری به جرم جاسوسی برای سرویس اطلاعاتی اسرائیل (موساد) به ده سال زندان و همین طور به اتهام "تحصیل نامشروع" مالی به دو سال حبس و بازگرداندن ۳۳ هزار یور محکوم شده است.
آقای آشوری و اعضای خانواده او بارها این اتهامات را رد کرده و خواهان آزادی او شده بودند.
