According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network on July 10, 2023 Farhad Navaei, a 16yearold student of Mahabad, was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the Criminal Court No. This court acquitted him of the charge of "warfare".
Mizan, the official news agency of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, in a report published in this regard, claimed that Farhad Navaei was arrested on November 18 2022 and that there was a video on his mobile phone containing the blocking of the MahabadMiandoab road.
At the height of the popular protests in Mahabad and when the Revolutionary Guards deployed forces and severely suppressed the protesters, the residents of the villages of Mahabad had blocked the roads leading to the city to prevent more repression forces from entering the city.
Farhad Navaei is from the village of Tarshkan on the side of the road from Miandoab to Mahabad.
According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, Farhad Navaei is currently in Urmia Correctional Center and has been denied access to an appointed lawyer since his arrest.
Previously, on the 9th of June 2023, Deutsche Vela Farsi reported that the Coordinating Council of the Unions of Cultural Organizations of Iran reported the indecisiveness of Farhad Navaei, a 16yearold student who was arrested in late October 2022 in Mahabad.
According to the report of an informed source, "two and a half billion bail" has been requested for the release of this student from Tarshkan, Mahabad.
It is said that Farhad was forced to confess by torture during his detention.
According to information provided by a reliable source, Farhad Navaei lost his father years ago and "his mother, who is a member of the Basij, left him and went to Tehran."
On the other hand, the Human Rights Organization in Iran had reported on the arrest of Farhad Navaei on the 25th of November 2022 and that the people of Tarshkan village in Mahabad city of West Azarbaijan province were taken to an unknown place after being arrested by the security forces.
بر ا ساس گزارش شبکه حقوق بشر کردستان، در تاریخ ۱۹ تیر ۱۴۰۲ فرهاد نوایی، دانش آموز ۱۶ ساله مهابادی، از سوی دادگاه کیفری یک مستقر در مهاباد به اتهام "اجتماع و تباتی برای ارتکاب جرایم بر ضد امنیت داخلی کشور" به ۲ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. این دادگاه او را از اتهام "محاربه" تبرئه کرده است.
میزان، خبرگزاری رسمی قوەقضائیه جمهوری اسلامی در گزارشی کە در این رابطه منتشر کردە، مدعی شدە کە فرهاد نوایی روز ۲۷ آبان ماه سال گذشته بازداشت شدە و در موبایل او فیلمی حاوی مسدود کردن جاده مهاباد – میاندوآب وجود داشتە است.
در اوج اعتراضات مردمی در مهاباد و زمانی کە سپاه پاسداران اقدام بە گسیل گستردە نیرو و سرکوب شدید معترضان کرد، ساکنان روستاهای مهاباد، برای جلوگیری از ورود بیشتر نیروهای سرکوب بە داخل شهر، جادەهای منتهی بە شهر را مسدود کردە بودند.
فرهاد نوایی اهل روستای ترشکان در حاشیه جادە میاندوآب به مهاباد است.
به گزارش شبکه حقوق بشر کردستان، فرهاد نوایی هم اکنون در کانون اصلاح و تربیت ارومیه به سر می برد و از زمان بازداشت تا کنون از دسترسی به وکیل تعیینی محروم بوده است.
پیش از این در نوزدهم خرداد ۱۴۰۲ به گزارش دویچه ولا فارسی شورای هماهنگی تشکل های صنفی فرهنگیان ایران از بلاتکلیفی فرهاد نوایی، دانش آموز ۱۶ ساله ای خبر داده که اوایل آبان ۱۴۰۱ در مهاباد دستگیر شده است.
طبق گزارش یک منبع آگاه، برای آزادی این دانش آموز اهل ترشکان از توابع مهاباد، "دو میلیارد و نیم وثیقه" درخواست شده است.
گفته شده که فرهاد را در دوران بازداشت با شکنجه مجبور به اعترافات اجباری کرده اند.
طبق اطلاعات ارائه شده توسط یک منبع موثق، فرهاد نوایی پدر خود را سال ها پیش از دست داده و "مادرش که عضو بسیج است، او را رها کرده و به تهران رفته است."
از سوی دیگر سازمان حقوق بشر در ایران در تاریخ چهارم آذر ۱۴۰۱ در مورد دستگیری فرهاد نوایی و چنین گزارش داده بود اهل روستای ترشکان از توابع شهرستان مهاباد در استان آذربایجان غربی پس از بازداشت توسط نیروهای امنیتی به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شدند
