According to Human Rights in Iran, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, Matereh Gonaei, a former student activist, dentistry student at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, political activist, and former secretary of the Islamic Association of Tehran University, was summoned to Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court for trial.
This educational union activist explained on her personal page: "According to the issued notice, I must appear on Monday, May 27, at Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Ali Mazloumi, to defend against the attributed charges."
It is worth mentioning that Matereh Gonaei, on May 1, 2024, faced a complaint from the IRGC Intelligence due to her activities on social media. After being arrested and undergoing interrogation and then prosecution, she was charged with propaganda activities against the regime and insulting the leadership. She was released from Evin Prison on May 6, 2024, after posting bail of 1.2 billion tomans.
This political-student activist had previously been summoned on July 3, 2023, with a written notice for questioning at Branch 3 of the Naghadeh 33 Prosecutor's Office located in Evin Prison.
Matereh Gonaei had also previously been sentenced by the Disciplinary Council of Tehran University of Medical Sciences to a 5-year ban from attending university and the right to education due to her peaceful activities.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز شنبه ۲۹ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۳، مطهره گونه ای، فعال پیشین دانشجویی، دانشجوی رشته دندانپزشکی در دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران، فعال سیاسی و دبیر پیشین انجمن اسلامی دانشگاه تهران، برای محاکمه به شعبه ۲۹دادگاه انقلاب تهران، احضار شد.
این فعال صنفی فرهنگیان، با اعلام این خبر در صفحه شخصی خود تشریح کرد:”بنابر ابلاغیه ای که صادر شده باید روز دوشنبه به تاریخ ۷ خرداد در شعبه ی ۲۹ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست قاضی علی مظلوم برای دفاع از اتهامات انتسابی حاضر شوم.”
لازم به اشاره است، مطهر گونه ای، در تاریخ ۱۲ ردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۳، در پی فعالیت در فضای مجازی، با شکایت اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران، مواجه و پس از بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و سپس بازپرسی و تفهیم اتهامات فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام و توهین به رهبری با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱ میلیارد و ۲۰۰ میلیون تومان، در تاریخ ۱۶ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۳، از زندان اوین آزاد شد.
این فعال سیاسی ـ دانشجویی، پیشتر هم در تاریخ ۱۲ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۲، با دریافت ابلاغیه ای کتبی، برای بازپرسی به شعبه ۳ دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ مقدس تهران واقع در زندان اوین، احضار شده بود.
مطهره گونه ای پیشتر هم به علت فعالیتهای مسالمت آمیز خود با صدور حکمی از سوی شورای انضباطی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران، به ۵ سال محرومیت از حضور در دانشگاه و حق تحصیل محکوم شده بود.
