جعفر جاویدی ۲۹ ساله شامگاه ۱۸ دی ماه حوالی ساعت ۲۱ در مشهد مقابل کلانتری هفت تیر با شلیک مستقیم گلوله جنگی از پشت هدف قرار گرفت و جان باخت.
بر اساس روایت نزدیکان شدت اصابت به حدی بوده که محل ورود گلوله حدود ۷ سانتی متر دچار تخریب شده است.
جعفر جاویدی ساکن خیابان سیدرضی مشهد بود و در زمینه فروش و تعمیرات تلفن همراه فعالیت می کرد. او کمتر از شش ماه پیش نامزد کرده بود. پیکر او صبح جمعه و در شرایطی غریبانه تنها با حضور خواهرش به خاک سپرده شد.
به گفته اطرافیان جعفر جوانی خوش اخلاق مودب و آرام بود و هیچ گاه از او رفتار خشن یا بی احترامی دیده نشده است. در اعتراضات سال ۱۴۰۱ بازداشت و با قید وثیقه آزاد شده بود. حدود سه ماه پیش نیز حکم قضایی او صادر شده و به سه سال و یک ماه حبس محکوم شده بود.

Jafar Javidi 29 years old on the evening of January 8 around 9 PM in Mashhad in front of HaftTir Police Station was shot directly by a combat bullet from behind and died.
According to relatives the impact was so severe that the entry site of the bullet was destroyed about 7 centimeters.
Jafar Javidi lived on SeyedReza Street in Mashhad and worked in mobile phone sales and repairs. He had gotten engaged less than six months prior. His body was buried on Friday morning under strange circumstances with only his sister present.
According to those around him Jafar was a kind polite and calm young man and no one had ever seen him act aggressively or disrespectfully. He had been arrested during the 2022 protests and released on bail. About three months ago a court ruling sentenced him to three years and one month in prison.
