Ruhollah Mahdian Toraqi, father of two children from Mashhad, was killed by a direct gunshot to the head by government forces during protests in Haft Tir on 8 January 2026.
His family searched for him for five days before eventually finding his body in Behesht Reza, Mashhad. The body had been shot in the back and showed signs of beating.
It has been reported that the Mahdian family, with the help of an acquaintance, managed to retrieve the protester's body without incurring costs or undergoing lengthy procedures, and he was finally buried on 13 January.
Information indicates that the family of the protester is under security pressure and has been prohibited from publicising his name. It has also been reported that the Foundation of Martyrs contacted Ruhollah Mahdian's mother, informing her that her son was considered a martyr.
روح الله مهدیان طرقی، پدر دو کودک ساکن مشهد، در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات در هفت تیر با شلیک مستقیم نیروهای حکومتی به سرش کشته شد.
خانواده روح الله به مدت پنج روز به دنبال او جستجو کردند تا سرانجام پیکرش را در بهشت رضا مشهد پیدا کردند. پیکر او از ناحیه کمر مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفته بود و آثار ضرب و شتم روی آن مشهود بود.
گزارش شده است که خانواده مهدیان توانستند با کمک یک آشنا، بدون پرداخت هزینه و طی مراحل زمان بر، پیکر این معترض را تحویل بگیرند و در نهایت در تاریخ ۲۳ دی او را به خاک سپردند.
اطلاعات حاکی از آن است که خانواده این معترض تحت فشارهای امنیتی قرار دارند و از رسانه ای کردن نام او منع شده اند. همچنین اعلام شده که از بنیاد شهید با مادر روح الله مهدیان تماس گرفته شده و به او گفته شده که پسرش شهید شده است.
