On the afternoon of Sunday, June 7, 2025, Karim Asghari, a resident of Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to the central detention center of the Kurdistan Provincial Intelligence Department.
The arrest of Karim Asghari reportedly followed a raid by intelligence officers at his workplace.
Local sources reported that during the arrest, officers assaulted Mr. Asghari.

ظهر یکشنبه ۱۸ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴، کریم اصغری، ساکن شهر سنندج مرکز استان کردستان، توسط نیروهای امنیتی، دستگیر و به بازداشتگاه مرکزی اداره کل اطلاعات استان کردستان، منتقل شد.
براساس این گزارش، دستگیری کریم اصغری، در پی یورش ماموران اداره اطلاعات، به محل کار وی صورت گرفته است.
همچنین، منابع محلی در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران اعلام کردند:”هنگام دستگیری آقای اصغری، ماموران وی را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار دادند.”
