A Kurdish political prisoner and member of KJAR (the East Kurdistan Free Women Society) has been sentenced in a new case to six months of discretionary imprisonment on the charge of "propaganda against the regime," for writing a letter on the anniversary of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement. This sentence has been added to her previous and ongoing cases. According to the Campaign for the Freedom of Varisheh Moradi, the basis of the charge against her was the publication of writings coinciding with the anniversary of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement.

According to a report from the Committee for the Follow-up of the Situation of Detainees on November 12, 2023, Varisha Moradi, a political activist and women's rights defender who was violently arrested on July 31, 2023, on the road from Marivan to Sanandaj, remains in an unknown condition. Reports indicate that she was held for seventy days in the detention center of the Sanandaj Intelligence Office and was subjected to physical torture during this period.

The "Bi Tavan" website, affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic, reported on Wednesday, November 8,2023, that three members of PJAK named Pakhshan Azizi, Varisha Moradi, and Sirwan Mohammadzadeh were arrested during a clash with the Revolutionary Guards on the morning of the same day. However, reports indicate that these three individuals have been in the custody of security forces for months and had no involvement in the mentioned clashes.

Varisha Moradi, from the city of Mahabad in West Azerbaijan Province, a political detainee held in the women's general ward of Evin Prison, was sentenced to death by Judge Abolqasem Salavati, head of Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, on Sunday, November 10, 2024. According to the issued verdict, Varisha Moradi was charged with "acting against national security - rebellion" and was sentenced to death on this basis.

بر اساس خبری در کمیته پیگیری وضعیت زندانیان در ۲۱ آبان ۱۴۰۲ وریشه مرادی، فعال سیاسی و مدافع حقوق زنان که در روز ۱۰ مرداد ۱۴۰۲ در مسیر مریوان به سنندج، با خشونت دستگیر شده بود، همچنان در شرایط نامعلومی به سر می برد. براساس گزارش‎ها او پس از بازداشت به مدت هفتاد روز در بازداشتگاه اداره اطلاعات سنندج نگهداری شده و در این مدت تحت شکنجه‎های جسمی قرار گرفته است.

وب سایت «بی تاوان»، متعلق به وزارت اطلاعات جمهوری اسلامی، روز چهارشنبه ۱۷ آبان ۱۴۰۲، در گزارشی از بازداشت سه عضو پژاک به نام‎های پخشان عزیزی، وریشه مرادی و سیروان محمدرضایی در جریان درگیری با نیروهای سپاه پاسداران در صبح همان روز خبر داد. این درحالی است که براساس گزارش‎ها، این سه نفر ماه هاست که در بازداشت نیروهای امنیتی هستند و هیچ ارتباطی با درگیری های یاد شده نداشته اند.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، یکشنبه ۲۰ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۳، وریشه مرادی، اهل شهرستان مهاباد از توابع استان آذربایجان غربی، متهم سیاسی، محبوس در بند عمومی زنان زندان اوین، توسط قاضی ابوالقاسم صلواتی ـ رئیس شعبه ۱۵دادگاه انقلاب تهران، به اعدام محکوم شد.

براساس دادنامه صادره اتهام وریشه مرادی«اقدام علیه امنیت ملی ـ بغی» عنوان و برهمین اساس به اعدام محکوم شده است.
