He has been sentenced to death by Branch 23 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Taqizadeh. The hearing to address the charges against this Kurdish citizen was held in August 2023, and ultimately, he was sentenced to death on the charge of "collaboration with hostile states."
The mentioned verdict was recently communicated to Boroos Rezaei's lawyer, and the authorities at Greater Tehran Prison have also officially informed him in prison.
During the protests in December in Tehran, Borzou Rezaei was arrested by government forces. After being detained and reportedly tortured for several months, he was transferred to Fashafouyeh Prison.
