Danial Haji Pour, a 23-year-old psychology student born on August 6, 2003, was killed by a direct gunshot to the head during the protests on January 8 in Qazvin on Daneshgah Street.
Danial's family found his body after a week of searching. However, according to accounts from those close to the family, they were pressured and threatened during the process of retrieving the body. They were told that in order to receive the body, they had to identify Danial as a "Basiji."
Friends described him as not being a Basiji, but a freedom seeker.

خانواده دانیال پس از یک هفته جست وجو پیکر او را پیدا کردند. با این حال بنا بر روایت نزدیکان در روند تحویل پیکر خانواده تحت فشار و تهدید قرار گرفتند و به آن ها گفته شد که برای تحویل جسد باید دانیال را «بسیجی» معرفی کنند.
به گفته دوستانش:
