Morteza Damour, a 70-year-old political prisoner held in the central prison of Hamadan Province, was sentenced to six months of imprisonment by the judge of the Revolutionary Court of that province.
A knowledgeable source told the Human Rights in Iran reporter: "In the verdict issued by the judge of the Karaj Revolutionary Court, Morteza Damour was sentenced to six months of imprisonment on charges of 'propaganda against the regime.'"
This informed individual further explained the charge: "The basis for Morteza Damour's arrest and accusation of 'propaganda against the regime' includes his support for Prince Reza Pahlavi and carrying and keeping the Lion and Sun flag on the summit of Alvand in Hamadan Province."
He also stated in conclusion: "While the initial sentence for Morteza Damour has been issued, his release, even with bail or surety, has been opposed."
It should be noted that Morteza Damour was arrested on August 16, 2025, by the Ministry of Intelligence in the city of Karaj "with judicial authorization" in Hamadan Province and was transferred on August 17, 2025, for interrogation and the formation of a legal case to the detention center of that security institution in Hamadan Province.
This citizen was transferred to the central prison of Hamadan Province after undergoing interrogation processes.
It should be noted that Vahid Damour, son of Morteza, born on June 17, 1989, lost his life on November 17, 2019, during nationwide protests due to being shot by security forces in the city of Karaj and was buried in Behesht Sakineh, Karaj.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی روزهای گذشته، مرتضی دامور، متهم سیاسی محبوس در زندان مرکزی استان همدان، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه انقلاب آن استان، به تحمل ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”در دادنامه صادره شده توسط قاضی دادگاه انقلاب کرج، مرتضی دامور به اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» بهتحمل ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شده است.”
این فرد مطلع در تشریح این اتهام افزود:”مبنی بازداشت و تفهیم اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» به مرتضی دامور، حمایت وی از شاهزاده رضا پهلوی و حمل و نگهداری پرچم شیر و خورشید در قله الوند استان همدان، ذکر شده است.”
وی در خاتمه نیز اعلام کرد:”در حالی که حکم اولیه برای مرتضی دامور صادر شده اما با آزادی وی حتی با تودیع وثیقه یا کفالت هم مخالفت شده است.”
لازم به ذکر است، مرتضی دامور، در تاریخ ۲۵ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴، توسط وزارت اطلاعات در شهر کرج«با نیابت قضایی»، در استان همدان، دستگیر و در تاریخ ۲۶ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴، برای بازجویی و تشکیل پرونده قضایی به بازداشتگاه آن نهاد امنیتی در استان همدان منتقل شده بود.
این شهروند، پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها به زندان مرکزی استان همدان، منتقل شد.
لازم به ذکر است، وحید دامور، فرزند مرتضی دامور، متولد: ۲۷ خرداد ماه ۱۳۶۸، در تاریخ ۲۶ آبان ماه ۱۳۹۸، در جریان اعتراضات سراسری، بر اثر اصابت گلوله شلیک شده توسط نیروهای امنیتی ـ انتظامی در شهر کرج جان باخت و در بهشت سکینه کرج، دفن شده است.
