Vahid Damour, born on June 17, 1989, was one of those killed during the protests in Iran in November 2019.
He was the third child in his family and lived with his parents. His father was a worker, and his mother was a homemaker. He owned a carpet cleaning shop and was planning to celebrate his wedding around Nowruz.
On November 17, 2019, Vahid Damour went to his workplace, the carpet cleaning office, as usual, and stayed at the shop until evening. At 8 PM, his mother called him and expressed concern about the unrest in the streets, urging him to return home quickly. Vahid closed his shop and, accompanied by his friend and partner, headed home. On the Malard Road, at the beginning of Manzariyeh Town in Fardis, security forces were shooting at protesters from the rooftop of a Basij base. During this time, two bullets hit Vahid Damour in the lungs from behind as he was crossing the street. He was immediately taken to Pars Clinic by his partner, who was with him at the time. The medical staff insisted that he needed to be transferred to a hospital, but it took a long time for an ambulance to arrive. During this period, Vahid suffered severe bleeding and lost a significant amount of blood. Later, Vahid's partner contacted his mother to inform her that their son was being transferred to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Mohammadabad. When the Damour family arrived at the hospital, they were informed that their son had been taken to the operating room, and after 2 to 3 hours, they were told of Vahid's passing.
Vahid Damour's body was buried on November 19, 2019, in Behesht Sakineh, Karaj.
After the family was informed of Vahid Damour's death, hospital security personnel treated them poorly and assaulted his brother. They mentioned that Vahid's body had been transferred to the Behesht Sakineh morgue by ambulance from the back entrance of the hospital.
On November 18, 2019, Vahid Damour's father and brother went to Behesht Sakineh to retrieve the body but were told that all the bodies had been transferred to Tehran. In the evening of November 18, Manouchehr Bakhtiari, Pouya Bakhtiari's father, who had met Vahid's father at Behesht Sakineh, called him and advised, "Come and take the body, or else they will take it and bury it themselves."
After returning to Behesht Sakineh, the family was able to retrieve Vahid Damour's body after signing several commitments. According to these commitments, they were not allowed to speak with foreign media or send any information regarding their son's death to them. They were also prohibited from filing complaints or causing any disturbances.
Vahid Damour's death certificate listed the cause of death as "the use of war weapons outside of war and bullet impact."
Security forces and journalists attempted to interview the family and label Vahid Damour as a "martyr for security," but the family opposed this.
On December 26, 2019, when the Damour family visited Behesht Sakineh to hold a memorial ceremony for their son's fortieth day of passing, security forces prevented the ceremony and arrested Vahid Damour's elder brother. Vahid's brother was detained for five days by the intelligence agency, during which he was tortured, and upon release, he was banned from leaving the country.
Saeed Damour, Vahid Damour's brother, was sentenced to one year in prison and 74 lashes on charges of acting against national security.
Nine months later, no court had been held to identify Vahid Damour's killer, and the Damour family continued to demand justice and called for a trial to identify and punish their son's killer.

وحید دامور متولد ۲۷ خرداد ۱۳۶۸ و یکی از کشته شدگان اعتراضات آبان ۱۳۹۸ ایران بود.
او فرزند سوم خانواده بود و همراه والدینش زندگی می کرد. پدرش کارگر و مادرش خانه دار بود. وی صاحب یک مغازهٔ قالیشویی بود و قرار بود همزمان با نوروز، جشن ازدواجش را برگزار کند.
وحید دامور، ۲۶ آبان ۱۳۹۸ طبق معمول هر روز به محل کارش، دفتر قالی شویی رفت و تا غروب در مغازه ماند. ساعت ۸ شب مادرش با او تماس گرفت و گفت «پسرم زود برگرد خیابان ها شلوغ است و من نگرانت هستم.» پس از آن وحید مغازه اش را تعطیل کرد و به همراه دوست و شریکش راهی منزل شد. در جادهٔ ملارد، ابتدای شهرک منظریهٔ فردیس، از پشت بام پایگاه بسیج، نیروهای امنیتی به مردم معترض شلیک می کردند. در این هنگام، ۲ گلوله از پشت، به ریهٔ وحید دامور که در حال عبور از خیابان بوده است، اصابت کرد. بلافاصله توسط شریکش که در آن لحظه همراهش بود، به «درمانگاه پارس» منتقل شد. کادر درمان تأکید کردند که می بایست او به بیمارستان منتقل شود، اما زمان زیادی طول کشید تا آمبولانس برای انتقال او به بیمارستان از راه برسد. در این فاصله، وحید خونریزی شدید داشته و خون زیادی را از دست داد. پس از آن شریک وحید با مادرش تماس گرفت و از انتقال پسرشان به بیمارستان امام خمینی محمدآباد خبر داد. هنگامی که خانوادهٔ دامور به بیمارستان رسیدند، به آنها اطلاع داده می شود که پسرشان را به اتاق عمل برده اند و پس از ۲ الی ۳ ساعت، خبر درگذشت وحید را به خانواده اعلام می کنند.
پیکر وحید دامور روز ۲۸ آبان ۱۳۹۸ در بهشت سکینهٔ کرج به خاک سپرده شد.
پس از اعلام خبر درگذشت وحید دامور به خانواده، مأموران حراست بیمارستان با آنها برخوردی ناشایست کردند و برادرش را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار دادند. آنها گفته بودند پیکر وحید را با آمبولانس از در پشت بیمارستان به سردخانهٔ بهشت سکینه انتقال داده اند.
روز ۲۷ آبان ۱۳۹۸، پدر وحید دامور و برادرش برای تحویل گرفتن پیکر، به بهشت سکینه مراجعه می کنند اما به آنها گفته شد که همه جنازه ها را به تهران منتقل کرده اند.
غروب ۲۷ آبان، منوچهر بختیاری، پدر پویا بختیاری که در بهشت سکینه با پدر وحید آشنا شده بود، با وی تماس گرفت و گفت: «بیایید جنازه را تحویل بگیرید وگرنه خودشان می برند و خاکسپاری می کنند.»
پس از مراجعهٔ مجدد به بهشت سکینه، با گرفتن چند تعهدنامه، پیکر وحید دامور را به خانواده تحویل دادند. بر اساس تعهدها، آنها حق ندارند با رسانه های خارجی صحبت کنند یا چیزی در مورد مرگ فرزندشان برای آنها ارسال کنند. همچنین حق شکایت و «حق شلوغ کردن» ندارند.
در گواهی فوت وحید دامور، علت مرگ، «عملکرد وسایل جنگی در خارج از جنگ و برخورد گلوله» نوشته شده است.
نیروهای امنیتی و خبرنگاران، قصد مصاحبه با خانواده و «شهید امنیت» خواندنِ وحید دامور را داشتند که با ممانعت خانواده روبرو شدند.
۵ دی ۱۳۹۸، هنگامی که خانوادهٔ دامور به منظور برگزاری مراسم چهلم فرزندشان به بهشت سکینه مراجعه کردند، مأموران امنیتی مانع برگزاری مراسم شدند و برادر بزرگ وحید دامور را بازداشت کردند. برادر وحید، ۵ روز در بازداشت اداره اطلاعات بوده و در این مدت مورد شکنجه قرار گرفته و بعد از آزادی، او را از کشور ممنوع الخروج کردند.
سعید دامور، برادر وحید دامور به اتهام اقدام علیه امنیت ملی، به یک سال حبس و ۷۴ ضربه شلاق محکوم شد.
پس از گذشت ۹ ماه، دادگاهی برای معرفی قاتل وحید دامور برگزار نشده و خانواده دامور خواهان اجرای عدالت و خواستار برگزاری دادگاهی برای معرفی و جزای قاتل فرزند خود شدند.
