Seyed Ali Qureshi was arrested at his home by security forces on the evening of 11 May 2026 (21 Ordibehesht 1405) without the presentation of a judicial warrant. He was transferred to the detention center of the Urmia Intelligence Department for interrogation and, after the completion of questioning, was moved in recent days to Bukan Prison.
On 1 June 2026 (11 Khordad 1405), Qureshi was granted temporary release from the prison after posting bail.
Qureshi is a retired employee of the Telecommunications Department and the father of three children. He is a well-known and widely respected figure in Bukan who has been active in the field of traditional folk music for many years. He is a well-known and popular artist from Bukan, recognised for his work in Kurdish folk and traditional music.
سیدعلی قریشی در شامگاه دوشنبه ۲۱ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۵، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بدون ارائه حکم قضایی در منزل شخصی خود بازداشت شده بود. وی جهت بازجویی به بازداشتگاه اداره اطلاعات شهرستان ارومیه منتقل و پس از اتمام مراحل بازجویی، طی روزهای گذشته به زندان بوکان منتقل شد.
روز دوشنبه ۱۱ خردادماه ۱۴۰۵، سیدعلی قریشی، با تودیع قرار وثیقه به صورت موقت از زندان این شهرستان آزاد شد.
سیدعلی قریشی، بازنشسته اداره مخابرات و پدر سه فرزند، از چهره های خوش نام و شناخته شده بوکان است که سال ها در عرصه موسیقی مردمی فعالیت داشته است. وی از هنرمندان شناخته شده و مردمی بوکان در عرصه خوانندگی است که سال ها در زمینه اجرای آهنگ های فولکلور و سنتی کُردی فعالیت داشته است.
