Mojtaba Mohseni was born in Arak and raised in a leftist political family. In 1976, during his second year at the Agricultural Faculty in Karaj, he was arrested by the SAVAK for participating in student protests. At the age of nineteen, he was sentenced to three years in prison, where he became a member of the youth wing of the Fedayeen Guerrillas.
Following the fall of the Shah, he took on various professional responsibilities in the Khuzestan branch of the organization, which was one of the most active branches of the Fedayeen Guerrillas at that time, as well as in Gonbad Kavus. After several splits within the organization, he joined the 16 Azar branch of the Fedayeen Khalq in the autumn of 1981 and became a senior official in Khuzestan. Subsequently, in 1983, he was transferred to the central cadre of the Isfahan organization. He was arrested in November 1984 and sentenced to death while still awaiting the execution of his sentence. He was executed in the autumn of 1988.
مجتبی محسنی، متولد اراک و پرورش یافته یک خانواده سیاسی چپگرا بود که سال ۱۳۵۵ در سال دوم تحصیل در دانشکده کشاورزی کرج، بخاطر شرکت در اعتراضات دانشجویی توسط ساواک دستگیر شد و در حالیکه نوزده سال بیشتر نداشت به ۳ سال حبس محکوم شد و در زندان عضو جوان چریکهای فدایی خلق گردید.
پس از سقوط شاه او بطور حرفه ایی مسئولیتهای مختلفی را در شاخه خوزستان سازمان که از فعالترین شاخه های چریکهای فدایی در آن مقطع بود و همینطور در گنبدکاوس، بعهده گرفت. با پ انشعابات در تشکیلات آن سازمان، سرانجام او در پائیز سال شصت به شاخه ۱۶ آذر سازمان فدائیان خلق پیوست و از مسئولین ارشد آن تشکیلات در خوزستان شد. متعاقبآ سال ۱۳۶۲ او به عنوان کادر مرکزی تشکیلات اصفهان به آنجا منتقل شد و سرانجام در آبان سال ۶۳ دستگیر شد و به زندان افتاد و سپس به اعدام محکوم شد. وی که همچنان با حکم اعدام بلاتکلیف در زندان مانده بود در پائیز سال ۱۳۶۷ اعدام شد.
