مهدی رحیمی ۳۲ ساله جمعه ۱۹دی۱۴۰۴ در اعتراضات «دزفول» به ضرب ۳ گلوله نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی کشته شد. او که مربی فیتنس بود در «خیابان قاضی» دزفول از ناحیه سر پهلو و پا مورد اصابت گلوله ماموران سرکوب قرار گرفت و کشته شد. ماموران حکومتی از یک ساختمان نیمه کاره در این خیابان مهدی را هدف قرار دادند. پیکر مهدی رحیمی دو روز بعد در حالی تحویل خانواده داده شد که ماموران می خواستند به اجبار خاکسپاری او در آرامستانی غیر از دزفول انجام شود. سرانجام بامداد دوشنبه ۲۲دی پیکر مهدی رحیمی در آرامستانی در «اندیمشک» به خاک سپرده شد. مهدی تحصیلکرده رشته حسابداری بود و تمام وقتش را در باشگاه به عنوان مربی می گذراند. خبر کشته شدن مهدی باعث سکته قلبی دایی اش شد. خانواده مهدی در این اعتراضات دو عضو دیگر خود را به ضرب گلوله های ماموران سرکوب جمهوری اسلامی از دست داده اند.
