According to reports, on 2 December 2023, Mehdi Nowrouzi, a resident of Baneh in Kordestan Province, was arrested and transferred to Baneh prison to serve his prison sentence. It has been stated that his arrest was for serving a six-month prison term.
During the judicial process, Mehdi Nowrouzi was initially tried by the Revolutionary Court of Baneh and sentenced to one year in prison on charges of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party to the Iranian government. After an appeal and referral to the Kordestan Province Court of Appeal, his sentence was reduced to six months.
This individual was arrested by security forces in Baneh on 11 July 2022. After being transferred to the detention centre of the Kordestan Province Intelligence Department in Sanandaj and undergoing interrogation and indictment, he was released on bail on 6 September 2022.
بر اساس گزارش ها، در تاریخ 11 آذر ماه 1402، مهدی نوروزی، اهل شهرستان بانه از استان کردستان، برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود بازداشت و به زندان بانه منتقل شد. گفته شده است که بازداشت وی برای گذراندن دوران حبس تعزیری شش ماهه انجام شده است.
مهدی نوروزی در مراحل دادرسی ابتدا توسط دادگاه انقلاب شهرستان بانه محاکمه و به اتهام همکاری با یکی از احزاب کرد اپوزیسیون حکومت ایران به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. پس از اعتراض و ارجاع پرونده به دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان کردستان، حبس تعزیری وی به شش ماه کاهش یافت.
این شهروند در تاریخ 20 تیر ماه 1401 توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهرستان بانه بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه اداره کل اطلاعات استان کردستان در سنندج و طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام در تاریخ 15 شهریور ماه 1401، با تودیع قرار وثیقه آزاد شد.
