On the evening of Monday, the 26th of December 2022, Mehrdad Malek, a 17yearold boy, was riding in a car with his friend. They were returning from a farm located in the first part of Ardagh, Qazvin, when the police patrol car suspected them and chased their car. At this time, the police patrol car gets stuck in the mud and in order not to end the car chase, the security forces shoot at the car without any warning.

در شامگاه دوشنبه پنجم دی ۱۴۰۱، مهرداد ملک جوان ۱۷ ساله به همراه دوستش که سوار بر ماشین بودند. در حال بازگشت، از مزرعه یی واقع در بخش دشتابی ارداق قزوین بودند که خودروی گشت انتظامی به آنها شک میکند و خودروی آنان را تعقیب میکند. در این موقع، خودروی گشت انتظامی در گل گیر میکند و برای آنکه تعقیب ماشین نیمه تمام نماند، نیروی امنیتی، بدون هیچ هشداری به سمت ماشین شلیک میکنند.
گروهبان علی محمودی نژاد به سمت خودروی آنان شلیک میکند. گلوله به سر مهرداد ملک اصابت میکند و این نوجوان ۱۷ ساله به دست نیروی انتظامی به قتل می رسد .
