Nima Jouzayi, a young athlete with a strong build, was severely injured by a bullet to his side on January 8, 2026. It is believed that if hospitals in Bushehr had not delayed his admission, he might have survived.
He was born on March 10, 1993. He was a well-mannered athlete and a fisherman who knew the sea well and earned his living through hard work. If he wasn't fishing, you could find him at the local gymnasium practicing traditional sports. He had a strong physique, and it is thought that if hospitals hadn't delayed his admission when he was injured, he might be alive today.
These sentiments are expressed with a heavy heart and tearful eyes. A close acquaintance of Nima Jouzayi mentioned that, like other victims in Bushehr, he was shot during the Ashouri Street protests. The shooter got out of a black Peugeot Pars with a license plate, and shot Nima from behind. They were able to capture a video of the shooting and filed a complaint based on the car's license plate. The bullet passed through Nima's back and exited through his kidney. This incident occurred around 9:30 PM. Nima was strong; despite severe pain and bleeding, he managed to move away from the scene. A passing car picked him up.
According to a source close to Nima Jouzayi, the passengers of the new vehicle took him to two hospitals in Bushehr, "Qaem" and "Persian Gulf," but both refused to admit him. Ultimately, the Social Security Hospital accepted him. Those present said his voice could be heard calling for his father until the last moments.
Nima passed away around 3 AM due to severe bleeding from the gunshot wound, while neither his parents nor his sister were in Bushehr. Nima had two sisters and a brother. His older sister lives in Dubai. He was the second child. Around 4:30 AM on January 9, the Social Security Hospital called his younger sister to identify him. His parents were also out of town and were told that Nima had been in an accident and was in the hospital.
Nima Jouzayi's family mourned. They had filed a complaint against the shooters on the first day, and a source close to the family said they never dared to ask for a Basij introduction or money. Despite everything, when he passed away on January 9, they were told not to come for the body until January 12, and they would be informed. All 25 victims from January 8 were handed over on January 12. Nima was buried in the Bushehr cemetery.
The mourning ceremony for a young person in southern Iran is a heartbreaking ritual, even if the death is not as tragic as this. However, there was no ceremony for Nima. They were not allowed to mourn, and many conditions were imposed. Only immediate family members were allowed, and it was not to be crowded. They were warned that if there were any slogans, the burial would not be allowed. Only one hour was given from the handover of the body to the burial for each victim.
Nima's family laid him to rest in the city, and now they are left with the sorrow of his unfulfilled dreams. None of Nima's belongings were returned. He was a kind and sociable person, with eyes that smiled. He was beloved by many. The last message he sent to his older sister in Dubai was about wanting her to visit Bushehr soon, as he planned to get married after the New Year. He had recently bought a motorcycle and was very excited about it. They left him and us with nothing but grief.
A day before his death at the hands of the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic, Nima Jouzayi shared a clip from the film "Tangsir" by Amir Naderi. The film is an adaptation of a story by the same name by the prominent Bushehri writer Sadegh Chubak. The main character of "Tangsir," Zar Mohammad, is very similar to Nima. In the film, Zar Mohammad cries out about the corruption in the city, lamenting that the rulers, lawyers, and religious leaders are all thieves who conspire to humiliate people.

«نیما جوزایی» جوان ورزشکار و قوی هیکلی که ۱۸دی۱۴۰۴ با گلوله ای در پهلویش به شدت مجروح شد و شاید اگر بیمارستان های بوشهر در پذیرش اش تعلل نمی کردند زنده بود.
«متولد ۲۰اسفند۱۳۷۱ بود. پسر با اخلاق و ورزشکار. صیاد بود. پهنه دریا را می شناخت. نان حلال و پر زحمت درمی آورد.اگر صیادی نمی کرد توی زورخانه شهر پیدایش می کردید. سال ها بود که ورزش سنتی را شروع کرده بود و میل و کباده می زد. تن و بدنش قوی بود و شاید اگر وقتی مجروح شد بیمارستان ها برای پذیرش تعلل نمی کردند حالا زنده بود.»
این ها را با دل خون و چشم اشکبار می گوید. یکی از نزدیکان «نیما جوزایی» می گوید که او هم مانند دیگر کشته شدگان بوشهر در اعتراضات خیابان عاشوری تیر خورد: «ضارب نیما از یک پژو پارس مشکی پلاک دار پیاده شدند و از پشت به نیما شلیک کرد. ویدیو شلیک به او را توانستیم بگیریم و با توجه به پلاک ماشین شکایت ثبت کردیم. تیر از کمر نیما رد شده و از کلیه خارج شده بود. حوالی نه و سی دقیقه شب این اتفاق افتاد. نیما قوی بود. با وجود درد و خون ریزی شدید آنقدر سرپا بود که خودش را از محل دور کند. یک ماشین عبوری سوارش کرد.»
به گفته منبع نزدیک به نیما جوزایی سرنشینان خودرو جدید نیما را به دو بیمارستان «قائم» و «خلیج فارس» بوشهر می برند اما هر دو بیمارستان از پذیرش او امتناع می کنند: «در نهایت بیمارستان تامین اجتماعی او را پذیرش کرد. کسانی که آن جا بودند می گفتند صدایش تا لحظات آخر شنیده می شد که پدرش را صدا می زد.»
نیما حوالی ۳صبح از شدت خونریزی ناشی از شلیک گلوله جان باخت در حالی که نه پدر و مادر و نه خواهرش در بوشهر نبودند: «نیما دو خواهر و یک برادر دارد. خواهر بزرگترش دوبی زندگی می کند. خودش بچه دوم بود. حوالی ۴:۳۰ صبح روز ۱۹دی از بیمارستان تامین اجتماعی به خواهر کوچکش زنگ زدند که برای تشخیص هویت مراجعه کند. پدر و مادرش هم خارج از شهر بودند به آن ها گفتند نیما تصادف کرده و بیمارستان است خودتان را برسانید.»
خانواده نیما جوزایی به عزا نشست. آن ها همان روز اول علیه ضاربان ثبت شکایت کرده بودند و منبع نزدیک به خانواده می گوید: « شاید برای همین اصلا جرات نکردند بگویند بسیجی معرفی کنید یا پول بدهید. با این همه ۱۹دی که چشم بست گفتند تا ۲۲دی برای تحویل پیکر نیایید خودمان خبر می دهیم. همه کشته های ۱۸دی را که تعدادشان ۲۵نفر بود ۲۲دی تحویل دادند. نیما را هم در آرامستان بوشهر به خاک سپردیم.»
مراسم عزای جوان در جنوب ایران آیینی است جانسوز حتی اگر از دست دادن جان اتفاقی به این اندازه تراژیک نباشد. برای نیما اما هیچ آیینی در کار نبود: « اجازه سوگواری ندادند. هزارتا شرط گذاشتند. گفتند فقط خانواده درجه یک باشد. شلوغ نباشد. شعار بدهید اجازه نمی دهیم خاکسپاری انجام شود. کلا از تحویل پیکر تا خاکسپاری برای هم کشته یک ساعت وقت داده بودند.»
خانواده نیما او را به خاک شهر بخشیدند و حالا حسرت آرزوهای بر دل مانده او تاب و توان آن ها را گرفته است: «هیچ کدام از وسایل نیما را تحویل ندادند. این بچه خیلی مهربان و مردم دار بود. چشم هایش می خندید. دوست داشتنی بود. آخرین پیامی که به خواهر بزرگش که دبی زندگی می کند داد این بود که زود بیا بوشهر بعد از عید می خواهم ازدواج کنم. تازگی ها یک موتور خریده بود و چقدر ذوقش را داشت. داغ همه چیز را به دل او و ما گذاشتند.»
نیما جوزایی یک روز پیش از کشته شدن به دست نیروهای سرکوب گر جمهوری اسلامی بریده ای از فیلم سینمایی «تنگسیر» اثر «امیر نادری» را منتشر کرد. فیلمی که اقتباسی است از داستانی به همین نام از «صادق چوبک» نویسنده برجسته بوشهر. شخصیت اصلی داستان تنگسیر «زار محمد» خیلی شبیه به نیماست. آنجا که فریاد می زند: «آخه این چه شهریه؟ حاکمش دزده. وکیلش دزده. سیدش دزده. پول ادمو میخورن.آخرم دست به دست هم میدن آدمو تو مردم خار و ذلیل میکنن؟»
