On Sunday, 14th Ordibehesht 1404 (4th May 2025), Mr Vahid Chaveran, a political prisoner imprisoned in Ilam Prison, was transferred from this prison to prisons in Zahedan, to serve his sentence in exile.
Despite the passage of more than seven months since his arrest, he is still in Ilam prison in detention and in an undecided status. Recently, he was banned from visiting by the order of the judge of the case.
Mr Chavaran, who was sentenced to twelve years imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court, committed suicide by swallowing a pill in protest against this sentence. After this action, he was transferred to Razi Hospital in Ilam and is hospitalized.
A detained citizen from the city of Abdanan, despite the passage of more than four months since his arrest, is in the detention center of the Ilam Intelligence Department. Recently, the temporary arrest order of this citizen has been extended for another month.
Valid Chaavaraan was summoned by criminal court no. 1 of Ilam.
