Ismail Ganj Goli, born in 1997 in Arak, was self-employed. On 8 January 2026, government agents of the Islamic Republic fatally shot him in the chest with a pellet gun from a distance of less than two metres in Arak.
A source close to Ismail Ganj Goli's family reported that on the night of the calls for gatherings, people in Arak took to the streets, including Ismail. He did not set anything on fire or attack the agents. Around 10 p.m., near the "Shora" square in Arak and beside the wall of the "Fereshteh" school, he noticed agents attacking a young girl. He and his friends went to assist her, but as soon as the agents realised this, they raised their weapons and shot Ismail in the chest.
Ismail Ganj Goli was taken to Amir al-Momenin Hospital in the Sardasht neighbourhood of Arak, but despite the nurses' efforts, he succumbed to injuries to his lungs and heart.
The body of Ismail Ganj Goli was handed over to his family one day later. A source close to Ismail Ganj Goli stated that the family was required to commit to holding the burial at 6 a.m. without a mourning ceremony. The source mentioned that Ismail was buried in Phase 2, Section 49 of Behesht Zahra Cemetery in Arak. Around 20 close family members and friends were present and more than 50 armed agents were at the cemetery at 6 a.m.
َSecurity agents threatened the family both at the time of receiving Ismail Ganj Goli's body and during the burial, warning that if they did not adhere to the agreement, the body would be taken and buried in a remote location, and the family would not be shown their child's grave.
«اسماعیل گنج گلی» متولد ۱۳۷۶ در اراک بود؛ شغل آزاد داشت. ماموران حکومتی جمهوری اسلامی پنج شنبه ۱۸دی۱۴۰۴ او را در اراک با شلیک گلوله ساچمه ای از فاصله کمتر از ۲ متر به سینه اش کشتند.
منبع نزدیک به خانواده می گوید: «در شب فراخوان ها مردم اراک به خیابان ها آمده بودند. اسماعیل هم مثل بقیه. نه جایی را آتش زد نه به ماموران حمله کرد. حوالی ساعت ۲۲ شب در میدان «شورا» اراک و کنار دیوار مدرسه «فرشته» متوجه حمله ماموران به یک دختر جوان می شود. همراه دوستانش برای نجات او می روند. اما ماموران به محض این که متوجه شدند اسلحه ها را بالا آوردند و به سینه اسماعیل شلیک کردند.»
اسماعیل گنج گلی را به بیمارستان «امیرالمومنین» در محله سردشت اراک منتقل می کنند اما با وجود تلاش پرستاران بر اثر صدمات وارد شده به ریه و قلبش جان باخت.
پیکر اسماعیل گنج گلی را یک روز بعد تحویل خانواده اش می دهند. فرد آگاه و نزدیک به اسماعیل گنجی گفته است که از خانواده گنجی تعهد گرفته بودند که خاکسپاری باید ساعت ۶ صبح و بدون برگزاری مراسم عزاداری برگزار شود.
او می گوید: «اسماعیل را بهشت زهرا اراک فاز ۲ و قطعه ۴۹ به خاک سپردند. فقط حدود ۲۰ نفر از اقوام درجه یک و نزدیکانش ساعت ۶ صبح داخل قبرستان بودند و بیش از ۵۰ مامور مسلح حضور داشتند. »
ماموران امنیتی چه در زمان تحویل پیکر اسماعیل گنج گلی و چه در زمان خاکسپاری خانواده را تهدید کرده بودند که اگر خلاف تعهدشان عمل کنند پیکر را از آن ها می گیرند در جایی دورافتاده خاک می کنند و مزار فرزندشان را هم به آن ها نشان نخواهند داد.
