Amir Ardalan Amiri, approximately 22 years old, son of Ayoub, originally from Zabol and residing in Mashhad, was present with a friend in front of a coffee shop on North Tabarsi Street in Mashhad at the time of the incident. They were making a purchase when security forces suddenly raided the area and opened fire on the citizens. During the shooting, a live bullet hit him from behind, passed through the lung area, exited through the front of his chest, and caused his death.
Sources close to the family reported that his body was handed over after four days on January 12, without prior notice to the family. Security forces required the family to collect the body at Behesht Reza in Mashhad, and the burial was conducted exclusively at that location.
These sources added that despite Amir Ardalan's father's request to transfer his son's body to their hometown in Zabol, security forces explicitly opposed this and did not permit the body to leave Mashhad. The burial was conducted under strict security supervision.

امیر اردلان امیری حدوداً ۲۲ ساله فرزند ایوب اهل زابل و ساکن مشهد در زمان وقوع حادثه به همراه یکی از دوستانش مقابل یک قهوه فروشی در خیابان طبرسی شمالی مشهد حضور داشته و در حال خرید بوده که نیروهای سرکوبگر به صورت ناگهانی به محل یورش برده و به سمت شهروندان تیراندازی می کنند. در جریان این تیراندازی یک گلوله جنگی از پشت سر به بدن او اصابت کرده که پس از ورود به ناحیه ریه ها از جلوی سینه خارج شده و موجب مرگ وی شده است.»
به گفته منابع نزدیک به خانواده پیکر این شهروند پس از چهار روز در روز ۲۲ دی ماه و بدون اطلاع رسانی قبلی به خانواده تحویل داده شده است. نیروهای امنیتی خانواده را ملزم کرده اند که برای تحویل پیکر به بهشت رضای مشهد مراجعه کنند و دفن نیز صرفاً در همان محل انجام شود.
این منابع افزوده اند که با وجود درخواست پدر امیر اردلان برای انتقال پیکر فرزندش به زادگاه او در زابل نیروهای امنیتی صراحتاً با این موضوع مخالفت کرده و اجازه خروج پیکر از مشهد را نداده اند. مراسم دفن تحت نظارت شدید امنیتی انجام شده است.
به گفته نزدیکان خانواده این محدودیت ها همراه با فشار و هشدارهای امنیتی بوده و هرگونه اطلاع رسانی درباره نحوه کشته شدن این شهروند با تهدید مواجه شده است.
