On Friday, May 9, 2025, it was reported that in recent days, Peyman Amin Farahavar, a poet, literary activist, and political detainee imprisoned in Lakan Central Prison in Rasht, the capital of Gilan Province, was sentenced to death by Judge Ahmad Darvish Goftar, the head of the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Rasht.
The charges leading to this verdict against Peyman Farahavar were reported as "enmity against God" and "rebellion," based on content he published on social media protesting the current situation in Iran.
It is noted that Peyman Amin Farahavar was arrested by security forces in Gilan Province in September 2024. After several interrogation sessions at the detention center of the Gilan Province Intelligence Department in Rasht, he was transferred to Lakan Central Prison in Rasht, where he remains in a state of uncertainty.
The evidence presented against him includes a collection of protest poems and civil speeches. Farahavar's trial was conducted entirely in secret and without the presence of a chosen lawyer.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران در روز جمعه ۱۹ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۴، طی روزهای گذشته، پیمان امین فرح آور، شاعر ـ فعال ادبی و متهم سیاسی، محبوس در زندان مرکزی لاکان شهر رشت مرکز استان گیلان، توسط قاضی احمد درویش گفتار ـ رئیس شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب شهر رشت به اعدام محکوم شد.
براساس این گزارش، اتهاماتی که منجر به صدور چنین حکمی بر علیه پیمان فرح آور شده «محاربه» و «بغی» عنوان شده که مبنی طرح این اتهامات «مطلبی بوده که در وی در اعتراض به وضعیت کنونی ایران در فضای مجازی منتشر کرده است.
لازم به ذکر است، پیمان امین فرح آور، در شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۳، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در استان گیلان، دستگیر و پس از چند مرحله بازجویی در بازداشتگاه اداره کل اطلاعات استان گیلان در شهر رشت، به زندان مرکزی لاکان رشت، منتقل شد و همچنان در بلاتکلیفی است.
آنچه به عنوان مستندات اتهام علیه او ارائه شده، مجموعه ای از اشعار اعتراضی و سخنرانی های مدنی است. محاکمه فرح آور در شرایطی کاملاً غیرعلنی و بدون حضور وکیل منتخب برگزار شده است.
