Morsedeh Shaheen Kar, who lost the sight in one of her eyes due to gunfire from government agents on October 15, 2022, shared a photo of herself and wrote: "I can only say that freedom can be celebrated even with one eye."
On her Instagram page, she recounts the loss of her eye: "For my lost eye; I apologize in advance for the graphic nature of the photos, if you can't handle it, don't look at the rest. Crime: Sitting at a bus stop with my mother and a few other women. They told us to get up, I was talking and laughing on my phone, and as we were getting up, they started shooting with paintballs. I was shocked, put my hand in front of my eye, and blood was pouring through my fingers. I can still feel the smell and warmth of my blood... They easily play with our faces, and even more so with people's lives. I am just thankful that my eye did not reach the point of needing removal, but I am still stressed, every second is stress and fear, my feeling is indescribable. I can only say that freedom can be celebrated even with one eye."
Morsedeh, who was a sports coach, left Iran after the paintball shooting and the loss of vision in one eye, and she returned to her coaching profession.

او در پیچ اینستاگرامش از دست دادن چشمش را چنین روایت میکند: "برای چشم از دست داده ام؛
پیشاپیش ازتون عذر میخوام بابت دلخراش بودن عکسها، اگه دلشو ندارید بقیه عکسها رو نبینید.
جرم: نشستن در ایستگاه اتوبوس با مادرم و چند خانم دیگه.
به ما گفتند بلند شید،من داشتم با موبایلم حرف میزدم و میخندیدم، تا ما پاشیم شروع به زدن با پینت بال کردند و من شوکه شدم،دستمو جلوی چشمم گرفتم و خون از بین انگشتهام میریخت،بو و داغی خونمو هنوز حس میکنم ...
با صورت من و خیلیا به راحتی بازی میکنن ، صورت که سهله با جون مردم بازی میکنن،
فقط خداروشکر که چشمم به مرحله تخلیه نرسید ولی هنوز استرس دارم، هر ثانیه استرس و وحشت، حسم غیر قابل گفتنه.
فقط میتونم بگم با یک چشم هم میشه آزادی رو جشن گرفت."
مرسده که مربی ورزشی بود بعد از شلیک گلوله پینت بال و از دست دادن بینایی یک چشم، از ایران خارج شد و مجددا به حرفه مربیگیری بازگشت.
