Reports indicate that Ali Ghanadzadeh, a political prisoner held in Greater Tehran Prison, was assaulted by an inmate convicted of violent crimes due to a lack of prisoner segregation. As a result of this altercation, Ghanadzadeh sustained stab wounds to his hand and back. It has been reported that the inmate responsible for the violence, along with several other inmates convicted of violent crimes, has been transferred to the ward housing political prisoners in Greater Tehran Prison.
Ali Ghanadzadeh, a member of the Gonabadi Dervishes, presented himself on 6 May 2025 following a summons by the enforcement of sentences and was transferred to Evin Prison to serve his sentence. According to published reports, he has been sentenced to five years in prison. The charges against him include "insulting the sanctities" and "propaganda against the regime."
Ghanadzadeh has a history of previous arrests and convictions. He was arrested during the crackdown on the Gonabadi Dervishes on Golestan Haftom Street in 2018 and was sentenced to 16 months in prison, after which he was released upon completing his sentence.
بنا به گزارش ها، علی قنادزاده، زندانی سیاسی عقیدتی محبوس در زندان تهران بزرگ، به دلیل عدم تفکیک زندانیان، از سوی یکی از زندانیان جرایم خشن مورد ضرب و شتم قرار گرفته و در نتیجه این درگیری، از ناحیه دست و کمر چاقو خورده و مجروح شده است. گفته شده است که زندانی عامل این خشونت، به همراه چند زندانی دیگر جرایم خشن به بند زندانیان سیاسی محبوس در زندان تهران بزرگ منتقل شده اند.
علی قنادزاده، از دراویش گنابادی، در تاریخ 16 اردیبهشت 1404 پس از احضار از سوی اجرای احکام، خود را معرفی و برای گذراندن دوران محکومیت به زندان اوین منتقل شد. بر اساس گزارش های منتشرشده، حکم صادره علیه او پنج سال حبس است. اتهامات مطرح شده علیه او «توهین به مقدسات» و «تبلیغ علیه نظام» عنوان شده اند.
قنادزاده پیش تر نیز سابقه بازداشت و محکومیت را در پرونده خود دارد. او در جریان سرکوب دراویش گنابادی در خیابان گلستان هفتم در سال 1396 بازداشت و به 16 ماه حبس محکوم شده بود که پس از پایان دوران محکومیت آزاد شد.
