Ali Moezzi

According to Human Rights in Iran, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, Ali Moezi, born in 1332, a former political prisoner and a citizen imprisoned in Evin Prison, was transferred to Ward 209 of the Ministry of Information for interrogation.
According to an informed source in a conversation with a human rights report in Iran: "While Mr. Moezi had spent some time in the quarantine ward 4 of Evin prison, from Sunday of this week, he was transferred to Ward 209 of the Ministry of Intelligence for further interrogations. Considering his old age and his physical condition, which is suffering from prostate cancer, and also he has pain and swelling in his joints, so keeping him in the harsh conditions of the detention centre and enduring interrogations under pressure has lead to a lifethreatening situation for him.

It should be noted that Ali Moazi was arrested by the agents of the Ministry of Information in his personal home in Tehran on October 1, 2022, and after being transferred to the 209 security unit of that organization, during interrogations and then investigation in the 33rd District Prosecutor's Office. He was transferred to the quarantine ward of Evin prison in Tehran, and not long ago, the first session of the court to hear his charges was held in branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, headed by Abolqasem Salvati, but due to the failure of the judicial investigation, the case of this political activist was returned to the prosecutor's office.

This political activist, earlier in June 2011, was arrested by the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence on the charge of being a supporter of the People's Mojahedin Organization, and after being transferred to Section 209 and during the interrogation and explanation of the charge, then by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, from for the charge (action against national security), he was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment and after serving his prison term, he was supposed to be released in April 2014, but due to the case that was filed against him due to his activities inside the prison, he was again sentenced to 1 year by Branch 15 of Tehran Revolutionary Court. He was sentenced to imprisonment and after serving his sentence following the continuous filing of cases against him for a new case on the charge of (propaganda activity against the regime) by Tehran Revolutionary Court he was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and after serving During his imprisonment, he was released from Tehran prison on July 24, 2018.

Ali Moazi was arrested in the first stage in the Spring of 2008, on charges of (connection and support for the People's Mojahedin Organization) and after the interrogation and trial, he was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment and 3 years of suspended prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran. After completing his 2year imprisonment, he was released from Rajaei prison in Karaj.
