On 1 February 2026, Ahmad Estarkhi, a Kermanshahi Kurd from Khorasan, was identified as one of the casualties of the public protests on 8 January 2026 in Tehran. He lost his life due to a direct gunshot wound to the head.
Reports indicate that Ahmad Estarkhi's body was buried on 12 January 2026 in his hometown of Estarkhi. It is reported that security agencies required a commitment from his family before releasing the body.
Ahmad Estarkhi, was married and the father of two children. He was originally from the Harmanlu tribe and hailed from the village of Estarkhi in Shirvan County, North Khorasan Province. He worked in construction in Tehran and had been residing in the city of Faruj in North Khorasan Province in recent years. Available information also shows that he had previously been detained by security forces for a period.
در تاریخ ۱۲ بهمن ۱۴۰۴، احمد اسطرخی، کرد کرمانج اهل خراسان، به عنوان یکی از جان باختگان اعتراضات مردمی ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در تهران شناسایی شد. او بر اثر شلیک مستقیم گلوله جنگی به ناحیه سر جان خود را از دست داد.
گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که پیکر احمد اسطرخی در تاریخ ۲۲ دی ۱۴۰۴ در روستای زادگاهش اسطرخی به خاک سپرده شد. گفته می شود نهادهای امنیتی برای تحویل پیکر از خانواده او تعهد گرفته اند.
احمد اسطرخی، متاهل و پدر دو فرزند بود. او اصالتاً از طایفه هرمانلو و اهل روستای اسطرخی از توابع شهرستان شیروان در استان خراسان شمالی بود. وی به کار ساختمانی در تهران اشتغال داشت و طی سال های گذشته ساکن شهر فاروج از توابع خراسان شمالی بوده است. همچنین اطلاعات موجود نشان می دهد که او پیش تر نیز برای مدتی توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت شده بود.
