Five members of a family and relatives were arrested in Karaj between January 10 and January 18, 2026. According to the information received by the follow-up committee, Ali Asghar Deyoband, 29 years old and a resident of Karaj, was arrested at his workplace on January 10. On the same day, Hassan Deyoband, 30 years old, was also arrested at his workplace. Ali Akbar Deyoband, 15 years old and another member of this family, was arrested on January 11 from his family home. A week later, Mohammad Ali Deyoband, 50 years old, was arrested at his workplace on January 18. Additionally, Hamidreza Forouhar, 20 years old and another relative of this family, was also arrested at his workplace on January 18. Some of those arrested had brief contact with their families; however, at the time of this report, no information has been released regarding the charges brought against them or the status of their cases.
