On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Amir Askari Bojestani, an Instagram social media activist residing in Mashhad, the capital of Razavi Khorasan Province, was arrested after reporting to Branch 21 of the Enforcement of Judgments of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Mashhad. He was transferred to the quarantine ward of Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad to serve his one-year prison sentence.
It is worth mentioning that on September 20, 2023, Amir Askari Bojestani received a written summons from Mehdi Alinajad, the investigator of Branch 902 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Mashhad. He attended the interrogation and indictment session and was released on bail of 27 million tomans until the completion of the legal proceedings.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز چهارشنبه ۲۷ دی ماه ۱۴۰۲، امیر عسکری بجستانی، فعال فضای مجازی اینستاگرام ، ساکن مشهد مرکز استان خراسان رضوی، پس از مراجعه به شعبه ۲۱ اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب مشهد، بازداشت و برای تحمل حبس تعزیری ۱ ساله خود به بند قرنطینه زندان وکیل آباد مشهد، منتقل شد.
لازم به اشاره است، امیر عسکری بجستانی، در تاریخ ۲۹ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۲، ابلاغیه ای کتبی را از سوی مهدی عالی نژاد، بازپرس شعبه ۹۰۲ دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب مشهد، دریافت کرد و سپس در جلسه بازپرسی و تفهیم اتهام حاضر و در انتهای جلسه بازپرسی با تودیع قرار کفالتی به مبلغ ۲۷ میلیون تومان، تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.
