Ali Dahani

On 13 April 2025, the execution of Ali Dehani, a conscript from the Baluch community, was carried out at Zahedan Central Prison. The execution was in connection with the killing of four law enforcement personnel. Ali Dehani, was from the Sib and Soran County in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. At the time of his arrest, he was 18 years old and had served more than a year of his military service at the Kaskin station in Bamapur County. Following an armed attack on this station on 6 November 2022, which resulted in the deaths of four law enforcement personnel, Dehani was arrested.

Reports indicate that Ali Dehani was subjected to physical and psychological pressure and torture during interrogations to confess to the killings at the station. Despite his denial of these charges in court and his statement that the confessions were made under duress, the death sentence was issued. After his arrest, Dehani was transferred to security detention centres and later placed in Ward 9 of Zahedan Central Prison. Reports suggest that he was repeatedly beaten in this ward and moved to the basement.

During his imprisonment, Dehani complained about the inhumane conditions in Ward 9, and reports indicate that he was transferred to the basement and tortured due to his protests against the mistreatment by prison guards. Some informed sources have stated that following the attack on the Kaskin station, the Bamapur County law enforcement command identified Ali Dehani as the main suspect without proper investigation, despite a lack of credible evidence linking him to the attack.
