Saba Neghaban, known as Venus, was killed by gunfire from Islamic Republic forces on 9 January 2026. Born in 2001, Saba Neghaban entered the field of bodybuilding and fitness at the age of 19 and worked as a professional trainer in gyms located in the northeast and north of Tehran.
It has been reported that Venus, along with several friends and family members, went to the Gheytarieh neighbourhood to participate in protests. They reached Andarzgoo Street around 11 p.m., where they began chanting slogans, and gunfire ensued. Venus was shot in the back and fell to the ground in the initial moments.
Reports indicate that the security forces fired at the protesters from a distance of less than 30 metres, leaving no opportunity for aid to be provided to the injured. One of the forces approached Venus and shot her in the throat.
Some of Venus Neghaban's family and friends were also injured by live ammunition and pellet guns. The Neghaban family is reportedly under pressure from security forces to refrain from publicising information about their daughter.
Venus was the only child of her parents and was killed at the age of 24.
صبا نگهبان، مشهور به ونوس، در تاریخ 19 دی 1404 با شلیک نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی کشته شد.
صبا نگهبان متولد سال 1380 بود و از 19 سالگی به رشته بدنسازی و فیتنس وارد شد و به عنوان مربی حرفه ای در باشگاه های بدنسازی شمال شرق و شمال تهران فعالیت داشت.
گزارش شده است که ونوس به همراه تعدادی از دوستان و اعضای خانواده اش برای اعتراضات به محله قیطریه رفته بود. حوالی ساعت 23 به خیابان اندرزگو رسیدند و شعار می دادند که تیراندازی ها آغاز شد. ونوس در همان لحظات اول از ناحیه کمر تیر خورد و به زمین افتاد.
همچنین گزارش شده است که نیروهای سرکوب از فاصله ای کمتر از 30 متر به معترضان شلیک می کردند و فرصت کمک رسانی به زخمی ها وجود نداشت. یکی از نیروها به ونوس نزدیک شد و گلوله ای به گلوی او شلیک کرد.
برخی از اعضای خانواده و دوستان ونوس نگهبان نیز با شلیک گلوله های جنگی و تفنگ ساچمه ای مجروح شدند. خانواده نگهبان تحت فشارهای امنیتی برای عدم اطلاع رسانی در مورد فرزندشان قرار دارند.
ونوس تنها فرزند پدر و مادرش بود و در 24 سالگی کشته شد.
