Masoud Jigareh-i was born into a working-class family in Tehran. He ranked third in the Electrical Engineering program at the University of Tehran. In 1979, he became the head of the Tehran branch of the Peykar Organization. On February 10, 1982, Revolutionary Guards pursued him and his wife, arresting both as they entered their home. Masoud was held in Evin Prison for eleven months, denied any visitation or telephone contact with his family. Ultimately, in March 1983, Masoud Jigareh-i was executed alongside his wife; his body was likely buried at Khavaran.
