Narges Sardar, the wife of Mehdi Etemad-Saeid, a facilitator of personal skills, actor, and performer, shared this message about her husband's uncertain situation following his arrest. Mehdi was detained on June 9, 2023, in Laleh Park, Tehran.
Mehdi Etemad-Saeid started the "PartUp" social project about seven years ago. The project was established with the "aim of bringing joy to children" in a "voluntary, non-profit" manner, without any affiliation to any institution or organization. It involves playing with children in parks or underprivileged and disaster-stricken areas, with the help of local volunteers. According to his friends, "his concern is to bring joy to children through play."
His wife wrote in a story: "I have visited the courthouse again, he remains in prison until the investigations are completed. What kind of investigation takes 50 days? My fearful mind says this investigation is not for uncovering the truth but for constructing a narrative inconsistent with reality."
Keeping prisoners in limbo and extending their detention is a tactic used by security agencies for building cases or extracting forced confessions. Therefore, prisoners must resist this as much as possible.

مهدی، در تاریخ ۱۹ خردادماه سال ۱۴۰۲، در پارک لاله تهران، بازداشت شده است.
مهدی اعتمادسعید از حدود ۷ سال پیش پروژه اجتماعی «پرتآپ» راه اندازی کرده است. او گفته بود: «که این پروژه را با «هدف شاد کردن کودکان» به شکل «داوطلبانه، عام المنفعه» و بدون هیچ گونه وابستگی به هیچ نهاد یا سازمانی بر پا کرده و در پارک ها یا مناطق کم برخوردار و سانحه دیده، به کمک نیروهای مردمی، به بازی با بچه ها می پردازد و به گفته دوستانش «دغدغه اش شاد کردن کودکان از طریق بازی» است.»
همسر او در یک استوری نوشته است: «امروز دوباره به دادسرا مراجعه کرده ام، تا تکمیل تحقیقات در زندان می مونه، چه تحقیقاتی ۵۰ روز طول میکشه، ذهن ترس زده ام می گه این تحقیقات برای کشف حقیقت نیست بلکه برای ساخت سناریویی نامتجانس با حقیقته.»
بلاتکلیف نگه داشتن زندانیان و تمدید قرار بازداشت آن ها ترفندی است که نهادهای امنیتی به منظور پرونده سازی و یا گرفتن اعتراف اجباری از زندانیان انجام می دهند. به همین دلیل زندانیان باید تا حد ممکن و توان در مقابل این موضوع مقاومت کنند.
