Mohammadamin Biglari

Mohammadamin Biglari (born 2007 – executed 5 April 2026) was a Computer Science student who was arrested on 8 January 2026 for participating in the nationwide protests of January 2026 against the Iranian government. He, along with four others, was accused of attacking a Basij center. Following their arrests, Biglari and the other detainees were denied access to legal counsel of their own choosing.

Biglari's trial, together with that of Shahin Vahedparast, was held before Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolqasem Salavati, who is widely known by the nickname "the Judge of Death." On 7 February 2026, the court sentenced Biglari and the other defendants in the case to death.

On 31 March 2026, Mohammadamin Biglari and four other prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in Qezel Hesar Prison. The families of Biglari and Vahedparast were not permitted a final visit or the opportunity to say goodbye before the executions were carried out.

In the early hours of 5 April 2026, Mohammadamin Biglari and Shahin Vahedparast were executed after being convicted of participating in an attack on a military facility, setting it on fire, and attempting to gain access to its ammunition depot. Earlier, on 2 April 2026, another defendant in the same case, Amirhossein Hatami, had also been executed by the Iranian authorities.
